Abstract:

The Fotonovela video contains approximately five minutes of footage for each of the textbook's eighteen lessons. The modules present the adventures of four college students from various Spanish-speaking countries who are studying at the University of San Francisco in Quito, Ecuador. They each decide to spend a vacation break on a bus tour of the Ecuadorian countryside with the ultimate goal of hiking up a volcano. The video, shot in various locations in Ecuador, tells their story and the story of Don Francisco, the tour bus driver who accompanies them.
